Dr. Carey is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He has worked with a variety of client populations but his current focus is primarily on two groups; adult survivors of child sexual abuse and young children with behavioral problems. With young children he uses evidenced based techniques that improve behavior while strengthening child/parent bonds. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and as a cancer survivor, Dr. Carey combines personal experience with clinical training to apply his unique perspective to the prevention and treatment of trauma. When not working he can usually be found building toy railroads or excavating toy dinosaurs with his young son.
